National Lighthouse Museum Photo Calendar Contest

Showcase your talent and love for lighthouses by submitting your best original photos for a chance to be featured in our 2026 calendar! Open to photographers of all ages, this is your opportunity to support lighthouse preservation while sharing your unique perspective. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just passionate about coastal beauty, we want to see your best shots of U.S. lighthouses—especially seasonal or landscape-oriented images.

Cost

• $10 Entry fee (3 submissions for $25)

Eligibility

• Open to photographers of all ages.
• Minors must have parental/guardian consent.
• Employees and immediate family of the museum are not eligible.
• Entries close October 31, 2025.

Photo Requirements

• Must be original, high-resolution digital photos (300 DPI minimum).
• Landscape orientation preferred (for calendar format). Seasonal Photos are a Plus! Photos must show lighthouse in the United States.
• United States Lighthouses only!

Judging Criteria

• Based on artistic merit and composition, technical quality and originality. 12+ winners will be selected.

Prizes

• Featured placement in the 2026 National Lighthouse Museum
• Calendar Credit in print and online. Complimentary calendar copies.
• Special recognition on museum’s social media/website

By entering, you grant the National Lighthouse Museum non-exclusive rights to use your photo(s) for promotional, educational, and fundraising purposes (with credit). You retain full copyright of your image. Photos must not infringe on any third-party rights.

2026 Calendar Proceeds benefit the National Lighthouse Museum. Donations will be matched 2 to 1 by the Diamond Matching Grant Program of the Staten Island Foundation.
