Soup Contest Rules 

Entry is Free!

Contest Rules:

• 3 gallons of soup
• All cooking and serving utensils
• Equipment to safely keep soup at serving temperature
• Two crock pots preferred, plus extension cords
• No Sternos or open flames
• Appropriate food-handling supplies, including gloves and hair restraints

The National Lighthouse Museum will provide each contestant with one 6-foot table, one chair, electricity, some extension cords, 2 oz. tasting cups, and spoons. Setup is from 10:30–11:30 AM, with vehicle access for unloading during setup. Breakdown is from 5:00–6:30 PM, with vehicle access for loading beginning at 5:00 PM.

Important Information

• The festival is rain or shine.
• Booth locations are assigned by the Lighthouse Point Festival Planning Committee.
• Contestants must clean their space and dispose of all garbage.
• No slop sink facilities are available.
• Contestants are responsible for their own food, equipment, displays, property, and safe food handling while participating in the festival.

Contestants hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the National Lighthouse Museum, and all their managers, officers, sponsors, employees, agents, and guests from any injury that may arise to Contestants, their employees, agents, guests, or customers; or for the loss, theft, or damage to any food, display, merchandise, samples or vehicle from any cause whatsoever while in transit to or from, or while participating in the Festival. When Acts of God or any other causes, not within the control of the National Lighthouse Museum, or its associates, make it impossible for the Contestant to occupy the Festival premises, then in such case, the National Lighthouse Museum, Other Sponsors and their officers, sponsors, employees, agents, and guests are jointly released from any and all claims which may arise as consequence thereof.
