DESCRIPTION:Safely steering a boat around nature’s challenges is no easy task! We will look at how lighthouses aid in navigation in addition to making some of our own navigation tools. Projects may include compass making and creation of a sextant and mapping stars for navigation. \nOur October 15th program will also be making an appearance at the Saint George Library Center at 1pm with The Science of Lighting the Night: We will play with light\, exploring original lighting methods\, Fresnel lenses\, and lighthouse automation.
